Dear Albert, You make very good sense, always have.
Incidentally, of late, there's a new GOSSIP which is effectively net-working in Mapusa. That Mapxekars are fed-up of their Municipal Council and the councillors they have been electing. Rotten to the core, as always. This coming election, the Maxemkars are now decided on fielding their own candidates for the Mapusa Municipal Elections due end October, 2010 on a PANEL BASIS and the entire Mapusa town net-work to get its PANEL elected. It seems that those few Mapsemkars who attended the Hotel Manoshanti (Panjim) talk by Arwind Kerjiwal and Ms. Swati on Gram sabhas for VPs and Mohalla Committees for Municipal/urban areas (sponsored by Rotary Club, Panjim) have decided to take on these corrupters and have Mapusa made into a place livable and a place to be proud of. If you have not already gotten the wind of this great GOSSIP, it is true. And you please start a chain in the net-work in your area. In this today's modern world, NET-WORKING a worthwhile GOSSIP is the in thing. You will never regret it. As for me, I can already see Mapusa Market and the Mapusa town swept clean and ready for next day's use at 6 a.m. latest. I see convexed market internal roads with gutters at both ends. I see daily hawkers sitting on elevated platforms in an orderly manner and the rent they pay go into the Municipal kitty. I see Gomes Catao road upto Alankar and upwards made into one side parking only equally distributed for 2 and 4 wheelers. I see Mapusa Clicnic road made ONE WAY. I see stinking clean Mapusa with no garbage to be see anywhere. I see Mapxemkars picking up loose litter on the roads and putting them in the waste bins found everywhere. I see one Mapxemkar reprimanding the other to behave with litter as well as erratic parking. And I feel proud to have something to do with Mapusa, because it has always been my Town though I am a Pisso Moidekar. Din't I have the High Court order the Mapusa Municipal Council to remove all the 37 truckloads of market garbage they dumped on the green-park bypass section of the NH-17??? And I see future Mapusa Councillors not being allowed to put notes into their own pockets nor have a wish to do so. And I see............................ Hey it will take me days to recount aa that I see. I'd better wait until after the all 15 members of the Panel garlanded, lifted and carried to deposit them into their respective chairs in the MMC and put to serious work, the work that our dear Mapusa Municipal Council has never seen nor done.
