One names comes to mind, and that is the pianist Margarida Miranda, one-time head of Goa Kala Academy's Western Music wing. She left Goa for Germany, some time before the Indian Armed Forces marched into Goa, on a Gulbenkian scholarship. AFAIK, she is in Panjim.
The cellist Alexandre Mascarenhas left for Germany immediately after the armed action, on a Gulbenkian scholarship, which was officially handed to him by Mrs Aurora Couto, at the annual concert of the students of the Academia de Musica. As far as I know, he still lives in Germany. ----- Original Message ---- > From: Gabe Menezes <[email protected]> > To: "Goa's premiere mailing list, estb. 1994!" <[email protected]> > Sent: Sat, 2 October, 2010 11:31:45 PM > Subject: Re: [Goanet] Tell Me About Sarto Esteves. > > On 2 October 2010 11:32, augusto pinto <[email protected]> wrote: > > > Carvalho" [email protected] wrote to me on the topic 'Tell Me > > About Sarto Esteves': > > > > "Dear Augusto, > > ...
