Venantius,
In my opinion President Eisenhower was just the same of one of your signatories to the Declaration of Independence ie : General George Washington.....he beleived that all men were equal ,except Black people, It took Abraham Lincoln to declare the immorality of slavery. What did Gen. Eisenhower do in his eight years of presidency for black men who had fought and died for the USA in the 2nd WW.? It appears , as far he was concerned, they were just fit to sit at the back of the buses. He did squat about the inequality of racial segregation. it took a president like John F. Kennedy to declare that segregation and denying the blacks equal opprtunity was immoral and had to be done away with. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Venantius J Pinto" <[email protected]>
