Goa's opinion is locked within the industrialist-politician controlled media that installs migrant editors when no goan is ready to 'slave' it out. So we now seem to have a Margao Lo(c)k Samiti to latch on to the emotions of unsuspecting Madgaonkars. As expected, Margao's opportunistic class appears to have once again popped up an attractive lolipop for voters in the Margao Municipal elections 2010. Seated on the right side of the projected and media propagated goan crowd puller doctor appears to be the general secretary of a political outfit, the same one and only politician who ascended the stage at Azad Maidan in 2006 despite 'Goa Bachao' claims of being apolitical. It is the same politician from the same political outfit that joinned the chorus against Babush Monserate in 2006 but which repeatedly gives Babush Monserate a ticket in the elections. This doctor exhorts us goa ns to stop being selfish and vote for good candidates. So, which is the body that gives an ISO certification of a 'Good Goan' in Amchem Goa? Margao Lo(c)k Samiti, Herald, Prudent Media, Sunaprant, GBA, ....... ? The problem of goans over the last 50 years is not about selfishness. It is about reckless generosity in pinning their hopes and aspirations on Tom Dick and Harry who get projected as saviours of Goa by the media, manufacturers of goan opinion. If at all Goans need to learn something, it is about being selfish. Goans need to develop their cognitive abilities to understand these behind the scene players that operate through Barbie dolls. Will goans ever grow wiser?
