Dear Arwin, Do not be very optimistic of any sea change in Goan Politics by NRG’s getting Voting Rights. The political corruption morass and sludge is carried in tons and stash in Gulf countries. The change that we yearn to see in Goa is a distant dream. The politicians are hoarding their ill gotten wealth from Goa to Gulf countries and using it as investment through NRG in Gulf has reached to an alarming stage. NRG’s are now used as clones to hide their mis-deeds. NRG’s in Gulf countries are using every occasion to gloat and glorify the corrupt politician from Goa. At Tiart they are openly glorified through song and dance, Publication, football tournaments and even private function are now funded and attended by politician from Goa. Ill-gotten money from Goa is now flowing Arabian Gulf waters much faster then River Mondovi, Zuari or Sal in Goa.
The places of worship too are not spared. Very soon we might even find idols of the Corrupt Politician inside Catholic Church. Some Catholic are so blinded by wealth they cannot see or comprehend good and evil or right or wrong. The Self appointed leaders in Gulf are supported and funded by the Corrupt Politicians from Goa who are on the mission to destroy Goa for their selfish personal gain. Goa is now selling as hot cake anywhere in the world. Goans leaders in Gulf are now using social events as a side dish to general pubic by covertly promoting their own agenda / business. All in the name of Goan Culture, Tradition and Mother Tongue. I’m sorry if I have disappointed you but these are the hard realities of Goa and Goans in Gulf.
