MARGAO: Alleging that the government has not yet finalised or notified the panchayat status (VP3) based on which the floor area for construction is finalised, the GBA, in a statement on Monday, has questioned as to how the notified building rules will apply. The GBA also "strongly opposed" the blanket imposition of 80 FAR in villages which have opted for lower FAR as per the draft Regional Plan 2021. "How can they notify the building rules that speak of 80 per cent FAR when so many villages have opted for VP3 status that means 50 per cent FAR," its convenor, Dr Sabina Martins asked, speaking to media. She also said that village level meetings which began in Tivim will continue with the next one to be held in Cansaulim on Tuesday (November 9) at 5.30 p.m. This meeting is being organised by local groups to press for 50 per cent FAR and notification of eco-sensitive zones pending finalisation of Regional Plan 2021. Besides these demands the law for participatory planning and implementation of High Court orders on infrastructure will also be pursued Also on November 13 another meeting will be held at the Moira Club at 5.30 p.m. and on November 14 at Keri, Ponda and November 11 at Pilgao, Bicholim. The GBA core group will also slated to meet to take stock of the developments. _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ _/ _/ tambdimati: the Goa review is a community blog of original _/ art, writing, music, news and commentary from and about the _/ smallest state in the subcontinent. check out the newest _/ member of the Goanet family daily at _/ http://www.tambdimati.com. _/ _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/
