Perhaps the solution is to start educating children about the dangers of alcohol instead of the "cool image" that they perceive from drinking. In USA and many European countries, now cigarette cartoons are going to carry pictures of victims of smoking on the pack. Regards, GL
-------------- soter IS LEGAL ALCOHOL A PROBLEM IN GOA? A study conducted by Caritas Goa in the early nineties had revealed that 45% of goan families have a problem with alcohol. Having a problem with alcohol in a family is as worse as having alcoholics. The AA report, according to some of us, has been too modest to claim that there are only 1 lakh alcoholics in Goa. For those of us who have worked in this field for several years and many others who have actually gone through the scourge of this disease, we could confidently reiterate the AA concerns that legal alcohol use or abuse is a threat to the social and political fabric of this State called Goa. Several of Goa's social and political problems originate from the very availability and consumption of this one substance called alcohol. So, let us stop denying and start accepting this fact.
