50 years ago when Goa along with Daman and Diu was ----- INVADED or CONQUERED
or ANNEXED by India as some non freedom fighters believe OR it was LIBERATED
as freedom fighters and mostly the down trodden masses willed; it became
abundantly clear that from 20th December, 1961 and henceforth we were slowly
but surely destined to INHERIT the nuances, of the ways and means of
governance in Independent India prevalent since 16.08.1947which was based on
the policy of " DIVIDE and RULE as inherited from our colonial masters the
British Empire
The hidden agenda for post Independence India was in reality being cunningly
crafted by some of the measely 3% Hindu Brahmin community of India under
the garb of their mother social ? organisation the RSS in 1925 . The "hidden
agenda" was to ensure that they alone usurp unto themselves and their
progeny the coveted positions in all spheres of life . To achieve this they
rely on the theory postulated by sage Manu in the "Manu Smriti". In the
absence of any safe constituency where they have their numbers in a
majority.they realised that they have always to ride piggy back on other
castes for their political survival.
Thus the sacred written Constitution of India authored by a Committee headed
by Dr. B R Ambdekar that ought to guide the destinies of our (now over a
billion ) people in this country when India became a Republic on 26.01.1950
pales into insignificance .
Their first step to achieve the "hidden agenda" was to put in place an
Electoral system since 1952 where tickets to contestants are given on the
criteria of "caste" and " winnability" criteria ( merit is thrown to the
winds) and wherein the "first past the post " gets declared the elected
"representative" ? no matter the percentage of votes polled as against
collectively of the percentage polled by those that lose.
Next was after abolishing the over 550 princely states to order a
re-organisation of States in 1956 on linguistic basis and not strictly on the
basis of geographical regions viz; coastal, hill, mountainous, desert region,
etc which would have been more ideal for ensuring overall understanding of the
problems of the people therein and their economic empowerment region based.
"Religion is the opium for the masses " said George Bernard Shaw. It
is even today administered beyond the prescribed dosage since 06.12.1992
(Fall of the Babri Masjid ) to camouflage the "hidden agenda" by pitting the
majority community - Hindus against minority communities Muslims and Catholics
( both seen as one despite their sub castes ) while at the same time
clandestinely trying to camouflage its real agenda of holding the water tight
caste ridden and fragmented Hindu community together under a leash lest these
subcastes revolt within their own Hindu community
Humiliate and point accusing fingers to SC's and ST's only by word of mouth
for cornering the goodies of society by deliberately ensuring the reservations
of seats and facities continue beyond the initial 10 years instead of
providing them means of economic empowerment first and then equal opportunity
to compete with others without reservations -- In the process a regime of pro
and anti reservationist pitted one against the other flourishes. . While some
of the he 3% Brahmin Hidus corner all the key positions and benefits
delivered in the name of Government of India and the States unto themselves.
Language is used as a vehicle for communications -- But the hidden agenda
postulates otherwise. Strict adherence to mother tongue is forced down the
citizenary only to deny them economic empowermentand social upliftment.
Can we in Goa on the 50th year of Independence undo the ills that we have
inherited from the regions under British rule ? The answer is YES we CAN.and
WHY NOT?
a) demand a revamp of the electoral laws - and lay down a condition where a
minimum say 45% votes needs to be polled to win - and be declared an elected
represenatative
b) delimit the electoral constituencies to ensure that they are within the
natural regions viz; coastal ,midland and ghats
c) recognise the language spoken by the masses as the sole official language;
and offer them the liberty to adopt the script of their choice and the same
time learning as many languages for ones social upliftment and economic
empowerment
d) retain / enact legislation which leaves no room for ambuigity by plugging
all the real and virtual loopholes and being in tune with the States reality
e) promote the East and West cultural fusion as the true Goan cultural
identity that has evolved in the 451 years of colonial rule in the Velhas
Conquistas ( Old Conquests ) and nearly 200 years in the Novas Conquistas (New
Conquests) to maintain our unique position in the country and the world.
f) pursue the sacred objectives of the Civil Code to maintain our historical
communal harmony.and conserve the rich heritage of our past
g) promote the cultural social economical interests of persons of Goan origins
whether in Goa India or abroad so that Goans do not become aliens in their own
homeland.with rapid change in the demographic composition of the State.
h) adopt a sustainable economic policy --- need based not greed based
----and achieve it without tampering our natural resources
i) empower the down trodden especially the SC's and STs who have suffered
centuries of subjugation so that they may emerge from their social backwardness
to enable a fair play in competing with others
Finally before the the end of the Golden Jubilee anniversary keep in
check some of these 3% Brahmin Hindus that are clandestinely pursuing a
communal agenda under the garb of secularism -- they have, despite their
measely numbers already attained monopoly in the legislature as of today and
their deceitful social engineering is finally being accomplished in both the
executive and the judiciary.
Have we noticed that in the 451 years of Portuguese rule and prior to that the
minority communities ruled Goa now it is the other way round and this agenda is
being pursued more vigourously.
