JCI St. Inez will commemorate the Centenary of Legendary Poet Bakibab
Borkar by organizing a Poetry recital Competition where children up to
Std X are invited to recite poems of the celebrated Goan Poet. Cash
Prizes and Trophies will be awarded to the winners.During the
function, Artist Nagesh Sardesai will be presented the 'JCI
Outstanding Young Person' Award and prizes of the Art, Essay and
Poetry competitions held in schools will also be presented.
The Centenary function will be held on 21st December 2010, 4 pm, at
the Goa Museum Hall, Patto-Panaji.
Noted Poet Shri Ramesh Veluskar; Zone President 2011 Saiprasad Naik,
Zone Vice President 2011 Ajay Buva; and Smt Bharti Borkar and Mukta
Agshikar, daughters of Poet Bakibab, will grace the occasion.
