MAPUSA, JAN 12: A resilient performance from ITI Bicholim helped them defeat ITI Panjim 1-0 in the final of the North Goa Inter-ITI football tournament at Duler Stadium on Wednesday. Bicholim will now play the winners of the South Goa final. Earlier, in the semi-finals, ITI Bicholim swept aside ITC Monfort 9-0, while ITI Panjim played out a goalless 0-0 draw with ITI Mapusa, before eventually overcoming them 4-3 via the tie-breaker. In the quarter-finals, ITI Mapusa defeated ITI Pernem 3-0, ITI Panjim overcame ITC, Sesa 4-0 and ITC Montfort did enough to win against ITI Honda 3-1. ITC Sesa overcame ITI Pernem by 8 wickets, in the first round of the cricket tournament, at Peddem complex on Wednesday. Pernem scored 81 runs in the allotted 10 overs while Sesa in their chase covered the score with 86 runs. In another match, ITC Panjim defeated ITI Honda by seven wickets. Honda scored 95 runs while Panjim managed to reach their target in eight overs.
