According to the information given by the Manager of the Mayem Lake, Vinayak Naik this is the first time that they have been successful in having their own cygnets on Mayem lake. "For all these years the little ones of the swan either died or the people took away their eggs but this time with the help of the workers we were able to save the eggs and now we have two little cygnets at Mayem Lake." Vinayak Naik told the media. It may be stated that there are about 15 to 20 swans and ducks at Mayem lake which attracts the tourists.
