2nd Popular Tiatr Festival 2010

2nd Popular Tiatr Festival 2010 organized by Tiatr Academy of Goa will be held from 10th March 2011 to 24th March 2011 at the DMK Auditorium, Kala Academy, Panjim. All shows will commence at 7:00 pm sharp. In all 12 popular tiatrs will be permitted to participate in the Festival.

A popular tiatr is one which has at least 30 performances during the year i.e from 1st January 2010 to 31st December 2010.

Three tiatrs which have won 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for performance in the 1st Popular Tiatr Festival 2009 will have direct entry in the 2nd Popular Tiatr Festival 2010. The remaining 9 places will be filled by taking lots if the number of applications exceeds 9.

Each participating troupe will be paid an amount of Rs. 20000/- and 70% of the gate collection will be given to the performing troupes. A nominal ticket of Rs. 30/- will be charged for those who are interested in witnessing the tiatrs. There will be facility to obtain Seasonal Passes for the whole Festival.

The participating troupe must take care that the unique format of Tiatr is preserved while writing the script and the lyrics as well as while staging the performance. Incase the script of tiatr and lyrics of songs do not conform to the given format of tiatr, the application will not be accepted.

The Rules and Regulations including the details of the unique format of Tiatr and the Application form are available in the office of TAG during office hours. The last date to submit the Application along with the details of 30 performances of tiatr is 2nd February 2011 before 4:00 pm.

Directors/Producers of popular tiatrs are requested to go through the rules and regulations carefully and submit the Application form to TAG’s office, Block A, 2nd Floor, Campal Trade Centre, Campal, Panjim within the given time limit.
