‘A Drop Of Fifty Years’

Fifty years are just a drop in the life of a state. However, for Goa the last fifty years are of great importance because after centuries of foreign rule she got an opportunity to plan her own destiny.

On 19th December 1961 Goa joined-up with Mother India with great dreams in her heart. Goans set forth to carve their own future. Goans have faced many challenges, experienced successes and failures on all fronts.

My drop is a drop of their aspirations. My drop is a tear drop of their failures. My drop also signifies the tear of joy they shed on their successes.

I call upon the people to express their thoughts about the fifty years of Goa’s liberation. Fifty years is a good time to look back on our achievements and our defaults. Express your opinions about the last fifty years, about our successes and our failures. Venture on to pen down your dreams for the future.

The viewers are free to write, scribble, draw or paste any material of their choice on the drop of fifty years. You can paste pictures of your heroes and your villains, you can comment on the performances of our politicians, our teachers, our artists and our bureaucrats. You can give your suggestions to bring into reality the Goa of your dreams.
