I know where Dr. Desai gets his information about Hindu priests from, and understand why he would have a different perspective about Hindu religion as a good business world wide, as good as the other major religions.
But I have no idea from where Dr. Parrikar got his information about Hindu priests in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. As far as I know, he has never taken any pictures in these states with his special camera, and he does not have much sympathy for those ghantis in any case. He does not come from a family of priests from these states, either. A Google search is out of question. Through repeated announcements he has made sure that this simple procedure is beneath him.
