Who comes up with a name like this: 'Goa liberation-50: From Torture to Strength and Progress'
Who was tortured? At this point in Time,it is most uncouth to say this--but let those and their own who were tortured and want to be remembered stand up? Even the idea of a tortured, angst-impelled Goa is hard to fathom! Who showed Strength? Hard to imagine what notion of strength is being intended to be conveyed. Unless it is some serious warning towards utter domination. Who ushered in Progress? What else can one say to the sheer idea of progress, when even 2 and 3 generations of taxi drivers do not understand what butters their bread! FFs should also drop their Christian names. No point is living under that burden now that it has apparently become a yoke. Do not even try an issue with this point. ++++++++++++ venantius j pinto Date: Wed, 16 Feb 2011 08:32:04 +0530 From: "soter" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Subject: [Goanet] Cancel Portuguese street names: Panel HERALD REPORTER PANJIM, FEB 15 A newly formed committee headed by senior journalist and freedom fighter Flaviano Dias has demanded cancellation of Portuguese names designated to several roads, villages and localities and rename the same after national heroes, freedom fighters and eminent personalities loyal to this country and state.
