A walk to tranquillity - 262 steps uphill Who said Goa is too small? If I live another 63 years, I know for sure , I would still not be able to explore all of Goa. This place where I am going to take you (via my talking photos & Video) is a sort of Hill station except there are no houses/shops or resorts. There you will find a newly built small chapel which houses the Miraculous Cross ‘Matievoilo Rakhnnea Khuris’ The place is not just for the Catholics but all come here with the same devotion. Infact, the first Holy Mass was celebrated here in 1960 by Shri Dattaram Lotlikar of Baga, Velim Goa. While on your journey, you can explore the nature - wild but beautiful plants and flowers.
As you reach half way through, you just turn around and enjoy the scenic beauty of the Village including fields, lakes etc. One can also enjoy the seasonal fruits like Caju, Kanddam, Boram etc on the way. At Velim SFX Church, take road to the right behind the cemetery. Little further (you may seek help here), take left until you find a large lake in the fields. At the T- junction, take left until you find a Cross in its own compound wall. Take right (The road about 100M only) to foothill where your journey starts. There is also an old & abandoned Govt.
