COMMENT: Fair suggestion - but offer turned down on with due respect to those who excel and revel in spreading useless pieces of gossip. A proviso: Easy please! Let's take it Easy! Just imagine what benefit Goans (or who ever) would derive from me or anybody else writing about the "just say NO to crack" episode involving the California visit of a phamous Goan journo! While it was good for a 'brief laugh', it is hardly the stuff which we should be wasting our time on. On the other hand, I hope that those who claim to be journos, will advise us about the good stuff Goans are doing every day. Say/write something about Goa Sudharop's efforts, about the US-Goa Cardiac charity (Baliga will give you some more info), Goan scientists, writers, doctors, teachers, engineers, business owners , CEOs etc who are flying the "Goa flag" high. If you do not know, seek the info. What is this penchant for writing 'gutter' stuff about non-political Goans? Is that all 'we' do? ... Go to a function, expect discounts &free drinks, sit down and gossip about others, then write missives which involve 'children' of folks we do not like ...and NOT even have the courtesy to sit with the person we are writing about in order to seek an alternative perspective? I thought that Toronto had taught "us" a lesson, a couple of years ago. What happened? Is it the same old "kutteki poonch" (dog tail) story?
