This guy died a couple of years ago as reported in the local Bombay press, leading to a nasty succession war between his children for ownership of all his ill-gotten assets which were not inconsiderable. This was also reported.
Why he didn't leave a will is anybody's guess. Perhaps it was his last act of revenge for his frustration at being paralyzed, perhaps he didn't expect to die when he did. He was I think a violent man and by Bombay's underworld standards, he lasted longer than he should have.
