The mounting garbage, increasing number of stray dogs and the pathetic state of some of the city gardens are amongst the other issues that would need immediate attention by the newly elected corporators of the Corporation of City of Panaji. With Patricia Pinto being co-opted as Corporator to handle the garbage crisis, another expert could be brought in to tackle the stray dog menace. Noted horticulturist Daniel D’Souza could also be co-opted in to take care of the existing and plan new gardens with children parks for the CCP. If we are able to ensure that all the 30 wards are free from garbage and stray dogs, and beautified with gardens, it would go a long way to make our city a better place to live in.
