Let better sense prevail! We all are different people with different thoughts. Our thought never matched and will never match as far as the progress our mai Goa is concerned and that is the reason we witness the present state of Goa and if we continue with our same behavior our next generation will curse us like anything thing and people like me will have to seriously think of something else which I really don’t intend to think of. This one time beautiful state of Goa which was once known as a lake of peace has changed from best to bad and presently we are marching towards worst. In recent times truth has mostly failed against money power in Goa.
I am a proud goemkar,I love my language Konkni, it is there in my blood and it comes in us through our mother’s milk and in reality nobody can force our children to learn the same in the school if they don’t wish to. There was one time Konkni medium schools never existed in Goa but latter some political fanatics forced the unaided English medium primary schools to change to Konkni medium in the name the government grants. If the government continues its aid to Marathi medium Primary schools, what is the problem to grant the aid to the English medium schools? The case is very clear, there is no problem with regard to the aid to the Marathi medium primary schools so people like old Shashikala thai, the two catholic priests ,etc are all out for Konkni medium schools and joining them presently is the great Ramdev Baba.There is no doubt about the Archdiocese and convent schools favoring English as the medium of Education at the primary level. The government should not have any problem in granting aid to English medium school as well continuing the same to Konkni and Marathi medium schools and let the parents decide in which schools their children should study?
