@ Freddy Fernandes: Sorry Freddy,
I somehow missed your post as I am busy with other concerns than Goanet. It only came to my notice thanks to Albert. I have only one question to ask you : how long have you spent in a class room in these last few years? Specially after Konkani became the MOI in our primaries? Then make your opinions. And yes, I am educated and so are you. And are the thousands of parents in Goa and also the uneducated ones and the totally ignorant ones and the migrants who don't know a word who are clamouring for English as a MOI for the betterment of our children to be ignored? By what reasoning is Marathi included as a MOI and aided by governmental support? Do you the strength of students in the Government run Shalas? With 3 or 4 students in a class they have full time teachers with VIth pay commission scales and practically no work to do and here are Konkani aided schools with less than 15/18 students which are not eligible for grants. English MOI schools with 50+ students are also not eligible for grants and parents are made to pay through their nose for the education of their children. Is this justice?
