If they were serious about cleaning politics then they would never have supported and saved Babush when he was raided by Income tax many years ago. BJP ani Babush The Bharatiya Janata Party has demanded that Goa Education Minister Atanasio (Babush) Monserrate be sacked and arrested under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) after he was caught at the Mumbai airport on 2 April with a large amount of foreign exchange and Indian currency en route to Dubai. BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar Monserrate be arrested under FEMA for violation of many provisions of the Act. While saying that, he FORGOT that the BJP-led NDA had in 1999 removed the provisions of arrest, imprisonment and criminal offence under the Act and made the crime a civil offence punishable with just a fine. The fine cannot be more than five times the seized amount. Because of this, Monserrate had to be released and asked to report to the Customs in Mumbai on 8 April as nothing more could be done except asking him to pay the fine.
