Somewhere deep, I suspect George has his own solid devotion to Pe.Jose Vaz. He has consistently been keeping Goanet advised of canonization efforts and while Philomena is the prime mover, I suspect George plays an important role too.
C'mon Georgie, tell us what motivates you towards this sainthood candidate, besides the fact of his Goan origin. We would definitely be interested to hear. Wishing him sainthood too, as the Vatican is too racist in my opinion. We have had enough of Italian, Spanish, Albanian European and all other miscellaneous saints, but the Goan and the Indian. Roland. Toronto. George Pinto wrote: We are hopeful that the heroic efforts of Filomena Sarawati Giese, who single-handedly has promoted his cause for the past 30 years, will be successful and Blessed Vaz will be canonized this year. Her determined efforts against various odds may result in a 2011 canonization. Goans owe her a debt of gratitude for her perseverance and service towards a great Goan.
