We at Cuncolim Union deeply mourn the loss of a son of Cuncolim who had won several awards in Journalism and Tiatr. John Gomes alias Kokoy was a store house of knowledge on Tiatr and was considered as an authority on Tiatrs and Tiatrists. He has several konkani songs to his credit and himself was a versatile actor , writer and director of several tiatrs. His last association with Cuncolim Union was in 2007 when he co compered the Mando festival with Dr. Bicaji Ghanekar at Cuncolim on the 26th of January. He wrote an article titled " Mando, Dulpod and Deknni " in the souvenir released on the occasion. May God grant him eternal rest. Elvis Gomes President, Cuncolim Union.
