The activists claimed that when the farmer Felix Rebello was putting mud on his bundh and preparing his field, he was told by two persons that they were sent by the builder. Moments later, two policemen came to the fields and told the farmer not to carry out the filling. This was protested by the activists, who contended that the farmer cannot be stopped from working on his field.
