For any right thinking Indian with his head on his shoulders the real forces
behind the much publicised carnival of 'India Against Corruption' was clear.
Many secular jokers joinned in the chorus to popularise the tea party at Jantar
Mantar. Now the fascists marched in to cut the cake at the crucial juncture.
And who knows, Modi may walk off with the cake. As some have described this as
a entertainment by five characters in fancy dress. The architects of the party
have constructed the Fantasy Bharat where crores of black money stacked in
foreign banks will be brought back and no one will be poor anymore. Problem is,
how will political parties survive if everything becomes so transparent in this
country? How will voters be bought if poverty is eradicated? Do political
parties really want to eradicate corruption?
Probably, this the tamasha at Ram Lila, jantar mantar and Azad Maidan in Panaji
is just a mock drill for an Ayodya type assault on Indian democracy.
