Action against bus operators who supported bandh Transport director Arun Desai said that strict action would be taken against those bus operators who extended support to the June 6 Goa Bandh, subject to the Regional Transport Authority (RTA)'s report on the matter. "In a day or two, the RTA will file a detailed report on the issue, and in particular, will investigate the circumstances under which buses did not ply on the designated routes on Monday," said Desai. He added that the RTA is the registration and licensing authority that issues permits to vehicles and also takes necessary action against vehicles found violating their permit. Incidentally on June 5, the directorate of transport had issued a warning that stated that permits of those buses that supported the bandh would either be suspended or cancelled subject to an investigation.
