People, Avoid getting into this whole business of class, etc. Are we hurting so much that we wish to point this that and the other? Are we representing one group over another. Or aligning with notions of class/entitlement/privilege or sheer satisfaction,. As in demanding satisfaction?! Are we disposed to align with one continent against/over another too in the prerogative we hold in our minds about advantage?
People of culture do not use the word culture. They truly do not need to. On top of it some of us have had a priest in the family (mine), but now it apparent that my people did not learn much. All the above applies. The priest learnt though. Social construct? Get the point? The point is that by giving an example closer to home instead of: they are, she is, he said, they did, they are this, she is that --one points to the futility and banality of the crassness we inadvertently align ourselves to thinking we are better off. And Christians to boot! On the one hand someone bleeds, on the other hand equally crass (paixt) characters get to burnish their lacklustre, smarmy credentials, And so it goes. Some watch and wait, others make sure they get to debate all sides, while assiduously assuring their children get the best culturally speaking (Enlightenment down) of the same tactless, artless and loose-character individuals they attack. And to make it clear point out that one is friends with all comers! Bonhomie within bonhomie? A mis-en-abyme! Reflected towards infinity?! The hurt and the attendant bonhomie. ++++++++++++ venantius j pinto
