St. Anthony's Feast at Siolim etc some observations from feedbak etc
If the feast always celebrated on Sunday on or after 13th June - Next year the feast would be on 17th June (this year 19th June, last year 13th June) - Usually a feast is followed by 9 day preparations i.e. 9 = Nov (Nove) = Noven(a) However, St. Anthony feast is followed by 13 days of preparations and hence 13 – tera (Treze) – Trezen - Besides the St Anthony statue outside Church (facade / Niche ), there is another statue in the main altar carrying the dangling Cobra as can be seen in the various pics and video Also, check these pics in local dailies today and yesterday In Herald - Today http://www.flickr.com/photos/joegoaukextra2/5856387402/sizes/l/ In GT - Yesterday http://www.flickr.com/photos/joegoaukextra2/5855835773/sizes/l/ for other pics and video http://joegoauk.blogspot.com/2011/06/st-anthony-feast-at-siolim-goa-19611.html Extra: ‘Siole’ always reminds me of this dulpod we used to sing in wedding bus etc SIOLE DONGRA SOKOLU TINGA EK AS’RE OKOLU (2) TEGE MAIM UDO TAPOITA, TI MAKA NAVONK APOITA (2) [email protected] for Goa & NRI related info... http://in.groups.yahoo.com/group/GOAN-NRI/ For Goan Video Clips http://youtube.com/joeukgoa In Goa, Dial 1 0 8 For Hospital, Police, Fire etc
