In all sincerity, I would want to applaud the Church/Temple authorities to have come up with a strict dress code for tourists visiting these sacred places. My earnest suggestion is not to restrict entry to anyone, including the scantily dressed tourists, Indian, foreign et al.

Let the authorities have a pile of large sized 'shawls' at the entrance of Churches and Temples to be rented out at a price to these tourists should they want to venture inside who can drape themselves respectably. Also, they should be cautioned not to speak out loud once inside but to 'whisper' should they desire to communicate with one another. There is not way that footwear should be allowed inside the 'Temples' to observe the age old tradition. This would not be required for Churches as the tradition is done away with.

This way, the Church/Temple committees should be benefitting from the rentals of the said 'shawls'. The shawls once rented out should not be re-circulated without sending to the cleaners and those on rent should be appropriately laundry tagged as sterile.

Cheers

Subject: [Goanet] CCP Councilor opposes new Temple Dress Code and Bar onforeigners

As CCP Councillor, Bharati Heble should have been
first attending to the large puddle of raw sewage in front
of Dr. Dhume's home in St. Inez, right in her front yard.

A dress code at temples would be a GOOD thing,
and if true, I applaud the temple committees for the
proposal.
