RESPONSE: Kunbi Zuze, the most original among the Goans is both happy and in 'upsetment' with the above from Selma. [A]: HAPPY because it states the fact. Anybody who is able to read, hopefully will be able to comprehend - IF the desire is present to ascertain the truth. Of course, those who have evidence to the contrary, will surely (no doubt) provide the necessary verifiable evidence to support their case....... in the same file as they will (surely) provide evidence wrt FLEECING. Evidence please, not some conjured up rumours even if componded with repetition of those rumours with the hope that RFC (rumour to fact conversion) will occur by way of repetition. [B]: In 'upsetment' because the answer does not play the tune of the MOGHES (members of the glass half empty society) [C]: In conclusion: I am begining to get the impression (possibly unjustifiably) that there is a personal and a political component to this hate towards this Convention. It may not really be about the Convention, after all. BUT then, perhaps we might get some posts which will prove my own impressions unfounded: 1: Someone might use the RTI and reveal the amount of funds spent at the very first NRI meeting in Goa. The information provided might reveal, inter alia, IF any individual consumed (related to convention activity) any liquid or solid nutrition which he or she did not pay for ....before, during or after the convention. Am sure that ALL accounts are available for the "Goan taxpayer" to examine.....IF it is determined that the tax-payer paid for it. Based on some of the 'brilliant' arguments I have read on the net, I have come to accept that NRI Goans have no rights in Goa except to remit funds regularly and when demanded to. 2: Those who complain about the 'whiter than white' Selma, will surely modify their own Gmail profile picture by cropping out the 'whiterest' of them all; Well perhaps not. Let's see. 3: We might hear who else has refused complimentary stuff from drug companies .....After all .....Somebody pays for it.....Is it not? jc
