Response:
Doc, I fully concur with you that the problem may not be with the Convention at
all. Perhaps people should first reveal to us what their personal equations are
with respect to the NRI Commissioner and/or President Goan Association (UK).

In the process of grinding personal axes, please do not take the liberty of
sullying the reputations of a good many Goans who worked tirelessly for months
without a penny to their credit. Calling us "pigs at the trough" shows the sort
of mentality that persists amongst us.

Finally, I would like to say there were several organisational glitches in the
Convention, some of which have been highlighted by Jason K Fernandes. These are
legitimate grouses which future organisers of the Convention should take note
on. The problem is the Convention keeps on moving so the new organisers don't
have the benefit of previous organisational problems.

However, this is an open invitation to next years organisers to contact any of
us in the UK, should you feel the need to shoot some hoops - as our
American-Goans would say. Best of luck to the organizers next year. Don't let
all the moaners and whiners deter it. I assure you being part of this process
will be one of the most fulfilling things you will do for Goans in the Diaspora.

Best,
Selma
