-----Original Message----- From: Anil Desai 1. My only criticism was that after the organisers declared that there would be a question and answer session at the end, this was cancelled for lack of time ... ............................. Response: It is a relief that you attended and have only one criticism as opposed to the myriads who chose not to attend and yet have so much to fault :-( However, I must set the record straight. The programme clearly stated that the Q & A session would be at the end of the session. It did take place as timetabled and all the questions raised related to Carmen Miranda's presentation. You can check the programme by selecting Saturday 23 July at http://www.goaukconvention.co.uk/events.aspx Eddie Fernandes My Response: Dear Eddie, Thank you for your reply. I was there for the talk . At the end of the talk, Carmen was invited to sit on the dais for question and answer session and then the impromptu talk ( it is not on the programme) given by Shri U D Kamat meant there was no time left for Q& A with Carmen. Having met Carmen before with two of my closest CATHOLIC friends(shock, horror!!!), I have tremendous respect for Carmen and her work. I would have liked to be there for Q&A at least to register my appreciation of her work and also to Thank GOA for giving her a platform. I am glad that Q&A did happen at the end. Where did I go wrong in my first post on this subject? As a rabid 'Hindu extremist', I should not have objected to U D Kamat's talk for three reasons but mainly for the first one: 1. He is a Hindu 2. He is a very good friend of my brother 3. He is a gentleman. Your reply is appreciated. Anil Desai
