>>J. Colaco < jc> colaco1 at gmail.com >>[4] CONSENT: Like you, I have good reasons to believe that Heble and >>Co did NOT obtain informed consent from the children.
>>It is possible that they were not aware ....and I can understand that. All of us make errors. >>Just imagine IF a doctor removed a child's kidney or eyes without >>appropriate informed consent from the child's parent. >>But, then again, it is possible that Children have No RIghts in Goa. >>my views >>jc Response: And I have good reason to believe: 1. That Jose Colaco is unaware of Indian Laws, particularly those related to education and participation of children in extra-curricular activities. 2. That holding Rallies and demonstrations are perfectly legal within the framework of the Indian Constitution. 3. That consent can be obtained in any form and when Schools/ Colleges and parents/guardians have approved of such consent, third parties like him having no locus standi in the matter cannot overrule such procedures. That Jose is aware(and yet pretending to be unaware) that we have obtained perfectly legal consent from the parents. 4. That instead of appreciating the efforts of the children who have drawn some wonderful drawings on the theme of corruption, that instead of appreciating the efforts of organizers who are trying hard to educate students on the evils of corruption, Jose Colaco has demonstrated his bias against this whole agitation by making all sorts of wild and baseless accusations which are based neither on facts nor on reason. regards, Sandeep
