Mumbai: No Place to Bury the Dead – Joseph Dias
A “Prayer Procession” is being organised by Christians to secure a
burial ground for the community in the Bandra East to Dahisar belt,
where the government has not provided a single cemetry. Our lack of
unity and awareness has led to the loss of 45,000 sq ft meant for a
cemetry in Kandivili East and hence, the need to be even more active now.
The prayer procession will comprise hundreds of Christians from various
Christian churches, under the banner of the “United Christian Community
Centre” (UCCC), supported by a number of Church leaders, activists and
NGOs like The CSF to bringing in maximum crowds. We urge our
intercessors and those who cannot be with us to pray for its success.
