My personal experience with 'NO PETROL' ... 'NO DIESEL'

Petrol and Diesel tanks of my vehicles were bone dry. Have been going to
Mapusa, taking rounds to fill up, in the bargain tanks ran dry almost. Have
been trying Panjim's petrol pumps, including Porvorim. No such luck either.

Saturday evening, before my two-wheeler (scooter) went dry, I took a chance
and made a trip to Mapusa. Luckily Ticlo's had just started with a huge line of
cars and two-wheelers extended upto Bank of India. I joined the line at 6.10
p.m. and got my fill (luckily) at after 9 p.m. In the bargain I am nursing a
hoarse croaking throat. You guessed it... from SHOUTING away line jumpers. The
black-marketers are having a field day. Bottles, gallons, what have you gets
the priority. Last night these guys must have made wack hocking a liter for Rs.
200/- after the pump went dry. The double-triple lines of two-wheelers was
still extending upto and beyond BOI after I got my fill. Those guys who had to
track to Bicholim-Sanquelim and beyond must have been forced to pay the price.
With me there was a lady pinion (housewife) cussing and swearing and all the
time on the mobile phone assuring the kids at home of her well-being. I was
happy they got their fill alongside me.

In these cases like the above where there is a pile-up of vehicles waiting to
re-fill, the rule should be:
Bring your vehicle - NO BOTTLES, NO GALLONS.
If situation is bad like last night at Ticlo's, bare minimum re-fill i.e. 2
ltrs for two-wheelers, 5 ltrs for 4-wheelers.

TRUST GOA SU-RAJ TO ENFORCE THIS UNIVERSALLY (THROUGHOUT GOA) SHOULD THERE BE
SUCH A SITUATION, WHICH WILL NOT.

Cheers

**
Traffic piles up in Goa as petrol pumps go dry. Again.

No petrol in Panjim today.

Complete chaos as tiny amounts of petrol are handed out at Goa's petrol
pumps right now. Long queues snake around corners. Short tempers.

One pump owner said that no petrol was coming in from Vasco (terminal),
but was being trucked from outside Goa.
