Amazing, Radha. I too heard (or imagined) the Konkani words you say are there.
At 1:41 to 1:43 of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tESLeLhYg0M Except that it
sounds more like: "Tuje bapaichem castao (with a tilde)".
Questions (as JC would put it):
(1) Do you think this is the Jamaican varient of Xashti Konkani?
(2) Do you think some Bardezkar rendered it wrongly for good ol Bob?
(3) Some (cryto Goan) lyricist put it in, knowing well it would pass
uncontested.
Incidently good ol "Shouted" Marley was a great icon of ours in younger days.
The first music legend from the Third World.
But I think that to translate his name into Konkani is too much of a conspiracy
theory, considering that that would have to be worked out with his Scottish
dad, and his Wailers' colleagues beforehand.
