I agree with anti-mining activist Carmen Miranda that mining has to end in Goa.
So buffer zones are only interim till mining ends. The proposed 10km buffer
zone is too little given mining contamination of the rivers, water-tables, etc.
I think the original 20km buffer zone is adequate although a 25km buffer zone
is preferable.
