TAG’s Children’s Tiatr Festival
2nd Children’s Tiatr Festival organized by Tiatr Academy Goa will
commence from 29th November 2011. The venue of staging the tiatrs is
‘Little Field’, Open Air Auditorium, Near the office of Electricity
Department, Taleigao Goa. All shows will begin at 7:00 pm sharp. In all
9 Children’s Dramatic Troupes are participating in the competition. The
detailed programme is as follows.

Declaration and presentation of awards of the competition will take
place on 12th December 2011 at 3:30 pm in the Black Box, Kala Academy,
Panjim Goa.
As per the rules and regulations of the Festival, a traditional tiatr
will have 6 or 7 podd’ddes, the comedy will have to be linked to the
theme of the play, it must have at least 4 Cantos and there should be
atleast 8 Kantaram which compulsorily must include 1 duet, 1 duo, 1
trio, 1 quartet/quintet and 1 Choral Song.
As per TAG’s scheme each participating troupe will be given a financial
support of Rs. 20,000/- each for the production of the tiatr. Besides
awards for the performance, acting, direction, script and all other
technical aspects of the production of tiatr will be given.
There are no tickets and the competition is open to public.
