Roland Francis wrote: Why India remains a slave to the colonial type
(...) judiciary after 60 odd years, escapes me, especially since the
colonial power itself re-invents their systems all the time.

QUERY:

Would Roland please advise

[1] what he means by the term 'colonial type judiciary'?

[2] how the colonial power has since re-invented its judiciary?

[3] what 'type' of judiciary, his new home (Canada) follows?

[4] what changes to the 'type' of judiciary, he proposes for Goa?

[5] If the problems now afflicting the judiciary in Goa, existed
(taking into account the increase in population) antes 1961?

[6] what he believes is the role played by vengeful and unscrupulous
Goa 'advocates' who help clog the judicial case log as well as help
strip the helpless of funds ... indefinitely?

[7] what he thinks of advocates who 'share' privileged info with the
opposing party? (Not very sure why I keep thinking of the Grace
Church)

[8] what he thinks of making public (directly or indirectly) the
identity of minors who may or may not have been subjected to assault?

[9] what he (Roland) believes is the method of justice which needs to
be implemented in order to effect a change: panchayati kanoon, sharia
law or just 'swift justice'?

and finally, I'd advise myself thus:

[10] Beware of the chap who yells Fire! Fire!......for ..... that chap
might just be yelling to attract attention (and business) to self OR
he might actually be one of the arsonists.

from a rather pleasant Big Apple,
jc
