UGDP CALLS FOR UNIFICATION OF REGIONAL PARTIES

At the outset, the Goa Su-Raj Party is happy that the cat is out of the bag
of the UGDP. This party, time and again, has been voicing these very
sentiments, knowing fully well that if Goa's Regional Parties come together
on a sole purpose of routing the National Parties [who have been trampling
on the aspirations of Goans for their Goa by dragging it to the brink of the
cliff ], nothing whatsoever will save them from this rout, because, they
have overstayed the hospitality of Goans the world-over. This Party is bent
on steering Goa to good health and eminence through self-sacrifices and
dedicated commitment towards rescuing Goa from the grab of evil by the
self-centered national forces. It is unfortunate that the people of Goa [
read Goa's bonafide voters] do not know the difference between living on
'doles' and 'hand-outs' by the National Parties and losing their
self-respect and self-esteem, and living on tight bellies, with their 'own
rule' and keeping their self-respect and self-esteem intact. The only one to
suffer in the long run, if the former continues, is Goa's posterity, when
our Golden Goa will be turned into one BIG SONSODO with everything precious
looted, which includes the will of Goans to live.
This party has, umpteen times, let other Regional Parties (excepting the
MGP) know that it desires UNIFICATION on basis of PURPOSE for the sake of
GOA while maintaining it's independence. Going alone in the 2012 Elections
has no meaning because we will only be helping the hyenas to come back with
vengeance. If we want to banish the hyenas once for all, we have to do it
jointly, but on a very tight and fool-proof COMMON MINIMUM PROGRAMME. We do
not, for one moment, hesitate to say that our programme for resurrecting
Goa's way or life, the orderly rule of law, etc, is stiff, nay, very stiff,
and as such, will not be acceptable to all on the negotiating table. But we
are ready to go along, even jettisoning most of our ideals and aspirations
for the sake of common alliance. But what we are not prepared to do is to
leave our PRINCIPLES out of the negotiated basket. For, it will not be worth
it in the manner that 'Ignatius Loyola' is said to have reminded 'Francis
Xavier' in the words "? HOW WILL IT BENEFIT YOU IF YOU GAINED THE WHOLE
WORLD AND LOST YOUR SOUL?"
This Party would want the other Regional Parties to keep the above thought
at the forefront in the ensuing dialogue/s that will take place between us
in the immediate future, especially with the Elections scheduled for March
3, 2011. This Party shall want at least a modicum of SELF-SACRIFICE in the
final basket of such COMMON MINIMUM PROGRAMME that will be possibly evolved
to tie all the promising regional parties together for a purpose. Besides,
this is exactly what the conscious people of Goa are waiting to see
happening having been driven to desperation with any semblance of
governance at a base LOW. Then and only then will they assuredly jump on the
band-wagon to seal the doom of National Marauders and conniving Goa's DOSKE
POLITICIANS in AMCHEM BANGARACHEM GOEM.

PS: Why 'excepting MGP' is because we do not consider Maharashtrawadi
Gomantak Party as Goa's bonafide Regional Party. If it was, it would have
shed it's 'MAHARASHTRAWADI' garb immediately after the 1967 Opinion Poll.
