Here is another incident that Dr. Jack Sequeira's right to be honoured for
the success of the Historic Opinion Poll was sidelined in Goa itself.
If the another historic 15 March-2011- Azad Maidan - GRA [Goemchea
Rakhondararancho Awaz] where thousands took a standing pledge for Goa lead
by Paul Fernandes, the compare from the stage, Dr. Jack Sequeira portrait
was to be garlanded on stage and as a tribute to his achievement, Sigmund
D'Souza of Goa Messenger was to sing the song he has composed on Dr. Jack
Sequeira accompanied by the strumming of his guitar. The Portrait, the
garland and the young girl of 8 year was ready and all set to go. But the
main, young dynamic leader of newly christened GRA at that time who had
himself proposed the idea of Garlanding Dr. Jack Sequeira's potrait in the
first place, SHOT IT DOWN at the last minute amid heavy protests giving
way to the MERGERISTS and the BJP-Wallas wishes and even had the communal
poison Jayesh Thali, the President of the Jan-Jagruti Samiti of the Margao
bomb-blast fame sitting on the stage and cleared to speak publicly which
never happened due to the vigilance of anti-mergerist and anti-communal
forces within the GRA. This includes (Adv. Yatish Naik's advisor) Goa's
dear fighter, Matanhy Saldanha who has now surfaced to show his saffron
colours to GOA).
This was the blow to the rest of pro-Dr.Jack Sequeira , pro Opinion Poll
and pro GOA leaders (including yours faithfully) that the GRA strayed away
from this dubious young charismatic, vocal so called legal advisor of the
'Pilerne Citizen's Forum' and his Mergerist camp within GRA, and who were
forced to register GRA with the Registrar of Societies without Adv. Yatish
Naik and his gang of Mergerist-BJP allies.
Thus is the true story of the 'SPLIT' in the GRA. The honour of it all goes
to Dr. Jack de Sequeira, the Moidekar of highest reckoning among
non-mergerist GOANS because he has SAVED the GRA movement from the teeth of
the Mergerists and BJP wallahs abounding in Goa, camouflaged and undermining
true Goans of dear mother Goa and GOA itself.

of the historic Opinion Poll on 16th of January 2012 in London. The
opinion poll was held in free India in Goa on 16th of January 1967 to
decide the fate of Goa whether to Merge Goa into Maharastra or should it
remain as a separate Union Territory with its own Identity.
