My dear Nascy, At first I thought that I'd ignore the fecolith of a post that you wrote. Why would I waste my lunch hour to respond to such tripe and the confused one who wrote it?, I thought. Then I read it again to determine IF I had misread you. I believe I had not misread. In actuality, your post is not only daft, it totally missed the points that Rajan Parrikar was making. So, I will ignore the nonsense you have written. Please remind me NOT to eat Kangaroo meat the next time I visit Oz. As far as the Goa elections are concerned, here are my views: 1: Manohar Parrikar: Good, personally honest, disciplined and hard working man. Has three 'crosses': (a) is a consummate politician - has broken his word in the past and made a deal with the Goemche Devchar in order to get hold of the Kodel. (b) Has ducked responsibility as with the VCD.(c) Is connected to the BJP & RSS. When he comes, he brings along Phamily and Phrends. Still, my favourite to be the next Goa CM. 2: Wilfred Mesquita: Slick Willie has changed 'political cloth' faster than a chameleon. Congenitally a MGP. 3: Matanhy Saldanha: I am happy he has joined the BJP. That is where his heart belongs. All he has done is 'come out of the closet'. 4: I hope that the BJP win. Then, I can then ask Matanhy Saldanha to "do the needful" about the following (attached) article. Hopefully, then Matanhy can deal with the Dabolim question (see attached article). I am advised that he "solved" the META issue, "vociferously protested in public" about the VideoCD and also "protested" about the manhandling of the Velim MP. He, I believe, will put his actions in front of his mouth. 5: After that, he can take on the Anjediva issue http://www.colaco.net/1/Anjadiva.htm jc http://www.targetgoa.com/newsd-With-Karwar-base-expanding-Navy-must-shift-out-of-Goa-says-Mathany-2557 Matanhy Saldanha, Ex-MLA of Cortalim Constituency has demanded that the Goa Government take up very strongly with the Ministry of Defence the shifting of the Naval Training centre at Dabolim to the Karwar Naval base. He said that shifting of the training centre to Karwar will pave way for returning the Dabolim airport to civilian authority as it was prior to Goa’s liberation by the Indian Armed Forces in Operation Vijay. “The Dabolim airport was seized by the Indian Armed Forces during Operation Vijay and has remained in its custody as war booty since then,” he said He also pointed out that the Indian Armed Forces have sizeable land in Goa in its possession which is nearly 10 per cent of the total area in Goa. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Protect Goa's natural beauty Support Goa's first Tiger Reserve Sign the petition at: http://www.goanet.org/petition/petition.php ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
