The BJP strategy worked best at Santa Cruz where Parrikar obviously
got Babush elected on a Congress ticket!
Elsewhere only four seats accrued to BJP due to strategic placement of
Independents:
Cuncolim, Maem, Mandrem and Murmagao. In saligao the pro-bjp wave
would have swamped the opposition anyway.
If there was no Alemao on the ballot paper, the congress led coalition
would have easily got sanguem. But without any of the Alemaos today's
election result would have been something else altogether! In

anyone's camp!
This strategic placement of independents went against the saffron
combine in Quepem.
Considering the number mercenaries willing to drill holes into the
hull of the Congress party on behalf of rivals it is surprising that
BJP could damage the Congress more considering the wave that rode it
to power!
