Steven D'Souza is an award-winning journalist with CBC Television in
Toronto. After beginning his career in print with the Toronto Sun and
Canadian Press, he joined the CBC in 2000 to work in television. He
started out behind the scenes, then moved in front of the camera. Steven
can now be seen reporting for local and national news in Toronto.
Steven grew up in Richmond Hill, Ontario. His parents made the city
their home 40 years ago after emigrating to Canada from Mangalore in
south India.
In the mid-16th century, Goud Saraswat Brahmins, and Goan Catholics from
Goa migrated to Mangalore as a result of Goa Inquisition.
