Dear Gabriel, You make very valid point...... NOT the focus of this discussion. I submit, however, that it is NOT in a patient's self- interest to keep information away from a doctor. It must be a 'subcontinental' thing. My experience over the years is that desis frequently indulge in this rather puerile behavior. Apparently, they are trying to TEST the doctor.
BTW: I believe that any adult human being of sufficient mental capacity has the legal right to reject any treatment prescribed to him/her and take whatever coconut or whatever oil or coir instead. .... even if this action is detrimental to the individual.
