Road, Panaji Organisers : Taleigao Chess Academy and Rotary Club of Panaji *Prizes* *1st Prize Rs. 3000/-* *Runners up Rs. 2000/-* *Two Semifinalist Rs.1000/- each.* *Formulate your Team of 3 players and participate in this Championship* * * Taleigao Chess Academy Sports Club in association with Rotary Club of Panaji organizing 3rd Blindfold Pawn Game Team Championship on *Saturday June 30, 2012 between 2.30pm to 7.00pm* at 5th floor, EDC Building, A.B. Road, Panaji. Each Blindfold Pawn Game will be of 10 minutes (5-5 minutes for each team) is a team event. It’s a team of 3 players, 1 Move announcer 2. Move writer and 3 Move player on Demonstration Board. Move announcer announces move. Move writer writes this on score sheet and passes the score sheet to opponents move writer. Move player plays the move on magnetic demonstration board and press the chess clock knob. Chess clock will be used in this game Time set is 5 minutes for each team. Total 10 minutes. Chess clock will be facing move announcer. Mover announcer may change his strategy according to time available to him. If announcer announces a move which can not be played it will be called as illegal move. If a team makes 10 illegal moves in a game it will be declared as lost. There are 64 square on the chess board. Every square has unique name. Every square derives name from vertical a to h files and horizontal 1 to 8 rows. For example a4, b8, c5, g1, h8 etc. Announcer announces a name of the square where pawn will be played. Move player will be playing the move on 3 feet by 3 feet display magnetic demonstration board. Onlookers can watch live game going on. It is just a pawn game which will get over within 15 to 16 moves within10 minutes. Onlookers can understand this simple game and they also gets exited. Every one gets involved in the game and excitement increases as end comes near. Direct involvement of audiences for real live game will popularize the Blindfold Pawn Team Game. Memory and intelligent is tested of a move announcer is tested in this game. Due to nervousness and anxiety players may make mistake. Blindfold Pawn Game gives boost to memory and intellect.
