Splendid word: capoeira.
I will take the martial meaning over hennery/gudd, [ in Konkani : ) ].

PS ALL: I love words, I hope as much as many of you do.

Marathi throws up many of those, and one can easily land in
riddleesque waters; besides, its a rich language. As ones language
fecundates, one begins to understand the pains that have besot those
around us; who use the tongue as scimitars/sabres (a sword the
Crusaders encountered in the Middle East). Our talwars/tulwars have
dual uses, cutting and thrusting; but we are a nation of short-cuts.

I WONDER, if there are proverbs which employ the word, gudd.
