When Shashikala Kakodkar was the chief minister, one of the first (perhaps the first) prime minister of Portugal, after the over throwing of the dictator Salazar, visited India and made a trip to Goa. The first thing he said to the chief minister was to apologise for the colonisation of Goa and whatever brutality had happened. The chief minister was a little taken aback and she said that the people of Goa are not against the people of Portugal in general, but against the leaders who did them harm.
Best wishes. Dr U G Barad.
