Dear Joe,

Why do you say "It would have been nice if GOA CM was also present at the feast mass?"

If all Ministers, CM and others who need to work and attend to Goa's Governance shud go on attending Festas, Maha Poojas criss-crossing Goa from Pernen to Canacona all year around, who will govern Goa? As it is no governance happens in Goa whether it be Cangress or the BAAJAAPAA. In fact governance has taken a back seat and inaugurations, ribbon cutting ceremonies, prize distribution, yapping on TV Channel 24 x 7 is taking the toll on governance.

Besides, was it not Manohar Parrikar who wanted to remove this GOA'S HOLIDAY? Was he not the one who coincided IFFI's concluding ceremony on this auspicious day, that Goans like me had to lobby and agitate to shift it this year?

If people want to see their CMs and Ministers in the Public on 24 x 7 basis, they should frame their photographs in their houses and garland them on everyday basis, but let them do the job they are elected to do, not worship in the public etc etc.

I saw Manohar Parrikar at the Se' Cathedral showing off flamboyantly at the ordination of the present Archbishop and this particular incident has put me off from attending Mega Feast where hyprocrites like him and others will take the front seats where they do not belong. These functions are meant for personal devotion and prayers and not to feel nice or not nice to see who is attending and not attending.

As for me I do not attend Mega Feasts for this reason alone because it puts me off seeing hypocrites masquerade for attention.

I believe that persons who do it are nothing but vote-catchers doubled-up into being hypocrites.

Cheers n seeking your forgiveness if by any means this opinion of mine has offended you.

Subject: [Goanet] SFX Feast, where is CM Parrikar?

Where is CM Parrikar?
Not seen at St.Francis Xavier’s feast
It would have been nice if Goa CM also present at the feast mass.
We saw Governor, Vishnu Wagh and others though.
The rector did thank Parrikar in his bilingual thanks giving
speech for his earlier visit and assurances.
I still feel and many hoped to see Parrikar there.
Even if Parrikar in Gujarat (i believe he is, some friends
reported seeing him on TV speaking / Baxonn in hindi for Modi's Campaign?)
he could come and go via flight but he chose not to.
SFX is the biggest feast of Goa of which Parrikar is CM. We needed him, particularly for this year's feast.
Just my thoughts
